Day tour to Museum of Strategic Missile Troops

The trip from Kiev to Pobuzske takes about 3-4 hours with a 3-hour excursion in Pobuzske. The Pobuzske Museum grounds are at the former dislocation of the Strategic Missile Forces Regiment (disactivated in October, 2001). The excursion includes viewing the outdoor exposition of vehicles, equipment and missiles which were used in the missile troops of the Soviet Union. The excursion continues to the regiment building, where the indoor missile museum is located. Then the tour proceeds again outdoors to see the silo, and ends in the underground constructions, including officers’ chambers and the missile command post with the old-fashioned phones, the secret hardware with the Soviet Russian keyboards, so Soviet Spartan furnishings and a box with the notorious “Big Red Button”.
