Sights and Tourist Attractions in Zolochiv

John III Sobieski with his family, painting by Henri Gascar
Operation: year round
Built in the middle of the 17th century, the Zolochiv castle is one of the best preserved manors in the Lviv region. Once a royal residence, a retreat for Marie Casimirie, a French-born Polish Queen, nowadays it is a ground for museums of the Lviv Art Gallery. Among other, the palace boasts the most advanced 17th century sewage and heating system, and secret passages beneath. Recently found mysterious rocks with the 14th century inscriptions are exposed in the museum. The Zolochiv Castle visit is included to the popular Lviv Golden Horseshoe route and makes a story of the three beautiful medieval fiefs complete.

A million thanks to Tanya, Igor, and Feodor (in Kiev.) My trip to Odessa went exceptionally well, in large measure due to the efficient, flexible, and above all hospitable services of the Unipress BTD. They handled changes of schedule at the last minute very smoothly and provided transfer drivers who were punctual and friendly. Friends of Unipress helped me every inch of the way, at the airports in Kiev and even at customs control. Remarkably, a nervous perfectionist such as I was able to relax. I cannot recommend Unipress too highly for visitors to Ukraine. The next time that I visit Odessa, I shall apply directly to my friends at Unipress.

Rdr. Alexander Tefft, Christ the Saviour Orthodox Cathedral, Toronto, Canada.
