On the Ankudinov Island there is a monument of the Zero Kilometer Mark which symbolically flags the mouth of the Danube River on the Ukrainian territory. And though the actual Kilometre Zero belongs to Romania the place has become really popular among tourists. Either for a pleasant boat ride to the island, or for numerous tales this monument is referred, there are few visitors who could help not touching, climbing, picturing with the monument which according to the tales promises various benefits – from adding another zero in the end of the sum in one’s paycheck to soon-to-be rounded bellies of young childless wives in newly married couples.
Hello, I just returned from the Ukraine and I want to say it was an excellent tour. The guide, Nadia was wonderful, in fact when the tour was over, I felt as if I hadn't paid enough for my tour!!
She was extremely knowledgeable, kept the tour interesting, took pictures of me and my companion, took me to the places I wanted to see, (for eg. I wanted to see the memorial at Babi Yar), her English was excellent, and she did everything she could to make my tour interesting. Nadia I hope you will read this, thank you!!!!!!!
I also have to mention our driver, he also did a fantastic job, I wish I could remember his name, I want to thank him also. I hope to return again, you have a beautiful country.
