On the Ankudinov Island there is a monument of the Zero Kilometer Mark which symbolically flags the mouth of the Danube River on the Ukrainian territory. And though the actual Kilometre Zero belongs to Romania the place has become really popular among tourists. Either for a pleasant boat ride to the island, or for numerous tales this monument is referred, there are few visitors who could help not touching, climbing, picturing with the monument which according to the tales promises various benefits – from adding another zero in the end of the sum in one’s paycheck to soon-to-be rounded bellies of young childless wives in newly married couples.
We got back from our holiday yesterday. It was really nice and interesting. Thank you very much for the organization and also for your quick help in Odessa. Everything worked out fine. Regarding the hotels and the trains we were very pleased. Maybe one thing could be changed: In Odessa and in Yalta we would have preferred a more centrally located hotel (e.g. Hotel Bristol in Yalta). The hotel in Kiew was just perfect.
Thanks again. We will recommend you to anyone wishing to travel to the Ukraine.
